About Me
Welcome to my blog, Happy Hudson Home!
A Little About Me
I’m a mom of two beautiful girls, obsessed with all things DIY and design, an Idaho lifestyle blogger, and eager to share all I know.
My husband, Ryan, and I are transforming our beautiful 1910 house into a more functional, aesthetically pleasing home. And did I mention all on a budget? Come join us on our journey as we make mistakes, learn, and share our lessons along the way!
What’s this Blog all about?
I created this blog in hopes of helping other moms create a home where they can thrive and feel at peace and give them the confidence to do so.
Raising kids can be so hard and is definitely time-consuming. Taking care of their every need on top of trying to balance your self-care and maintaining your home on top of all of that… that’s a lot!
I try to give all the tips I can to make your to-do list easier and show you how to involve your kids. My oldest is obsessed with helping me with my projects and I absolutely love it!
My Story
It all began when my husband and I moved into our first home in the fall of 2019. Shortly after, we welcomed home our first baby girl at the beginning of 2020. As I tried to adjust to the changes of motherhood, I also struggled to feel at home.
All we had was random donated furniture and it didn’t feel like me. Don’t get me wrong, we were so grateful for what we had! But, we wanted to build a safe home for our family where we could relax.
I started researching and scrolling through Pinterest trying to find inspiration and ways to transform our home on a budget. While there’s a lot of content out there, I still couldn’t find what I was looking for.
My husband is a high school teacher and I became a stay ay home mom. To say our budget was tiny was an exaggeration. We didn’t have a lot! In order to start work on our home, I sold all our living room furniture.
Years later, we’re still slowly transforming our home and adding more children along the way. Now I’m sharing all the things I learned in hopes to help others along the way!
